iPhone 16 Plus Screen Size: Inches and Phone Dimensions

Apple lists the iPhone 16 Plus screen size as 6.7 inches diagonally. Its precise rectangular measurement is 6.69 inches; rounded corners reduce the usable area. The phone itself is 6.33 inches tall, which measures something different.

Read 6.7 inches as the display diagonal

Apple documents a 6.7-inch OLED display in the iPhone 16 Plus specifications. That distance runs between opposite screen corners. It is neither the phone's height nor its width.

Apple says the standard rectangle measures 6.69 inches diagonally. The rounded display corners reduce the actual viewable area. A listing using 6.7 and another using 6.69 can therefore describe the same model accurately.

iPhone 16 Plus measurements: screen diagonal 6.7 inches, rectangular diagonal 6.69 inches, phone height 6.33 inches, and phone width 3.06 inches

Status: iPhone 16 Plus display and body measurements checked against Apple's specifications on 24 October 2026. These are published dimensions, not measurements of a phone tested here.

The display resolution is 2796 by 1290 pixels at 460 ppi. Pixels describe the image grid; inches describe physical size. A screenshot's pixel dimensions cannot establish a handset's outside dimensions.

Use the body dimensions for pocket and case fit

The handset measures 6.33 inches high, 3.06 inches wide and 0.31 inch deep. Apple's metric figures are 160.9 by 77.8 by 7.80 mm. Its listed weight is 199 grams, or 7.03 ounces.

Use those body figures when comparing the phone with a pocket or holder. Allow for any case already fitted. A screen diagonal alone cannot tell whether the complete phone will fit a particular mount.

For a case or protector, choose a product explicitly made for iPhone 16 Plus. Another phone's rounded 6.7-inch specification does not establish matching cameras, buttons, corners or glass coverage.

If an accessory listing gives only a screen size, ask its maker to confirm the exact model. That is a better fit check than assuming every phone with that diagonal shares the same body.

Check Plus versus the ordinary iPhone 16

The regular iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch display, while the Plus has the 6.7-inch panel. Apple states a 6.12-inch rectangular diagonal for the ordinary model in its separate specification sheet.

Both launched in the same generation. The iPhone 16 launch-date guide separates those models from the later 16e. A shared year does not make their screen sizes interchangeable.

On an unlocked phone, open Settings > General > About and read Model Name. Match the complete name with Apple's model identification list if a seller's description is unclear.

Bigger text is separate from a bigger panel

The physical display remains the same size when text settings change. Font size and zoom affect how much content fits on it. They do not change the inches of glass.

If the problem is a missing control for one app's font size, the per-app text setting guide covers that software issue. A screen-size comparison cannot repair a missing slider.

For an unidentified handset or an accessory that still will not fit, give Apple Support or the accessory maker the complete model name. Use the specified dimensions together with that name when checking compatibility.

The Short Version

iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen, measured diagonally. The rectangular figure is 6.69 inches. The body is 6.33 by 3.06 by 0.31 inches. Match accessories to the full model name instead of the display size alone.
