You paid for Apple's TechWoven case, and a few months later its edges have puffed up into bubbles. The fabric seems to be coming away from the frame. One Apple Community thread about it has 51 Me too clicks and more than 3,500 views.
I read Apple's accessory warranty line by line for this, and it covers more than the thread's first answer suggests.
What owners are seeing
The first post set out the problem: the case "has developed air bubbles all along the sides within months of purchase".
Timing varies. Vilbergsson wrote: "First bubble appeared around 6 months in". For JamesColley1 it took about a month, and "the bubbles have even cracked".
Nobody in the thread knows the cause. GriffGB's case was fine in the UK until a trip to Florida, and then, in their words, "Literally a week in and it started bubbling like yours". Heat and humidity is their guess, not a finding.

1. Check you are inside the first year
Apple warrants the case "against defects in materials and workmanship" for "ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase".
The receipt date is what counts, not the day the bubbles started, so if you bought the case the day your iPhone 17 Pro arrived, look up that date now. Keep the receipt handy, because Apple notes that "Proof of purchase may be required".
2. Take it to Apple, even if a shop sold it
A Level 10 volunteer's advice was to "Get in touch with the store from which you purchased it", which works, though you also have a second door.
Apple says you can "direct your claims to Apple even in situations where you purchased the Apple Product from a third party".
In person, that means an Apple Store or an authorized service provider, and to start online, the three ways to reach Apple Support chat get you to a person.
golar3 went in person, "I went to the store where I purchased it (Rome, Italy) and showed them", and left with a new case. PerOlsson66 found it just as easy: "They replaced mine without any problem at all".
3. If the replacement bubbles too, ask for something else
Replacements have not always lasted, and golar3's new case "developed a bubble, this time on the back".
Nickfezz wrote: "Had it replaced under warranty 3 months ago. This is the replacement today". PerOlsson66 hit it twice: "Even the next one I got on warenty got the same problem".
Apple's warranty gives Apple three options, at its choice: repair the case, exchange it, or "refund the original purchase price". With your consent, an exchange can be "a different model with the same features".
In our view, a second failure is the time to ask for the refund or a different case. Apple decides. You can still ask, with photos of both cases.
4. Bought it in another country? Expect a no
The original poster explained, "i purchased it online from US store and using in India", and both the service center and customer care "categorically rejected the warranty".
Apple's terms allow that. Apple "may restrict warranty service for hardware products to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device".
So contact Apple Support for the country where you bought it, and ask how they can take the case back. Inside Europe it is looser: for cases bought there, Apple may limit service to "the EEA and Switzerland", not one country.
5. Past a year? Consumer law may still cover it
Zed70 put it simply, "Warranty is 2 years in EU", and Apple's own terms agree that local law comes on top. Its warranty benefits "are in addition to, and not instead of, rights provided by consumer law".
Apple also says consumers can choose between its warranty and "their consumer law rights". If you live in the EU, name consumer law when you ask.
6. Normal wear, or a fault?
Apple's care page describes normal wear. The material may "show wear over time as the fibers get compressed with normal use".
Compressed fibers are one thing, but the page says nothing about bubbles or fabric lifting off the frame. Ours, not Apple's: edge bubbles are not the wear Apple describes. Present them as a defect.
