Excel AutoFit Row Height leaves wrapped text hidden? A manual height, merged cells, a hidden wrapped column, Fill alignment or a formula result is holding the row. Each one tested.
Windows Narrator keeps turning itself on? Stop it with Ctrl, Windows and Enter, then switch off Keyboard shortcut for Narrator in Settings, check a tablet volume button, and untick the sign-in boxes.
Event Viewer says the device Harddisk1 DR1 has a bad block? The number is the disk number. Match it in Disk Management or Get-Disk, look up a drive that is gone in the Partition log, then test it.
Chrome shows Aw, Snap on every page? The error code under it names the cause: Out of Memory, security software for STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH, or an Exploit Protection entry for STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION.
Your desktop icons rearrange themselves after a shutdown or restart? Turn off fast startup if Restart puts them back, stop OneDrive backing up the Desktop, and right-click Refresh to save the layout.
Excel asks you to save a workbook you never changed? A volatile formula such as TODAY, NOW, OFFSET or INDIRECT marks it changed at every recalculation. Find it, swap OFFSET for INDEX, or test add-ins.
Word keeps opening Save As every time you click Save, and the document never saves? Save a copy as .doc or with Maintain compatibility, find the damaged part, or turn off Allow background saves.
Files still sync but File Explorer shows no OneDrive status column or check marks? Reset OneDrive with onedrive.exe /reset, which keeps your files. Badges missing only on icons mean too many overlay handlers.
Your Command Prompt output stops until you press Enter? Select in the title bar means a QuickEdit click began a text selection, which pauses the program. Press Esc, turn QuickEdit off, or use Windows Terminal.
Your Mac keeps asking for the login keychain password and rejects your Mac password? The keychain is still locked with your old one. Type the old password, reset the keychain if it is gone, or set it from Terminal.
